Workplace Policy
How we work at Robworks Software.

Remote-First
Robworks Software is a fully remote company based in Houston, Texas. There is no office. All development, design, product work, and communication happens remotely. This is not a pandemic accommodation — it is a deliberate choice. Remote work is how we do our best work, and it is how we will continue to operate as the company grows.
Flexible Hours
We do not track hours. There are no mandatory start times, no required overlap windows, and no expectation that anyone is available at a specific moment unless a meeting has been scheduled in advance. Work happens when you are at your best — whether that is 6 AM or midnight.
Our founder is a father of two. This company was built around the reality that meaningful work and a full life outside of work are not in conflict. School pickups, doctor appointments, and afternoons off are not things that require permission. They are part of life, and the work gets done around them.
Full Autonomy
We measure output by what ships, not by hours logged or messages sent. Every person at Robworks is trusted to manage their own time, prioritize their own work, and make decisions within their domain without waiting for approval. If you need to take a different approach to solve a problem, take it. If something is blocked, say so. The goal is momentum, not process.
Dedicated Focus Time
Deep work requires uninterrupted time. We protect focus by defaulting to asynchronous communication — messages and updates that can be read and responded to when the recipient is ready, not when the sender wants an answer. Meetings are rare, short, and scheduled with purpose. The default state is building, not talking about building.
Sustainable Pace
Crunch is not a strategy. Burnout is not a badge of honor. We ship consistently because we work at a pace that can be maintained indefinitely — not because anyone is grinding through weekends. When deadlines conflict with well-being, deadlines move. The work will still be there tomorrow, and it will be better for having been done by someone who is rested.
Accessible Workplace
Our founder works with assistive technology every day. Remote work is inherently more accessible — no commute, full control over your environment, and the ability to use whatever tools and configurations you need without compromise. As Robworks grows, we are committed to ensuring that every tool, process, and communication channel we use internally is fully accessible to people with disabilities.
Tools & Infrastructure
We use modern, best-in-class tools and give everyone the freedom to choose what works for them. Standard infrastructure includes:
- Git and GitHub for version control and project management
- Asynchronous communication as the default
- CI/CD pipelines for every project — code ships when it is ready
- No required IDE, OS, or hardware — use what makes you productive
Vaccine Policy
Robworks Software is a fully remote company with no physical office or in-person work requirements. In the rare event that in-person meetings, conferences, or collaborative sessions are scheduled, we follow a vaccine-required policy to protect the health and safety of everyone involved. Team members are expected to be up to date on standard vaccinations for any in-person company gatherings.
